Are you finding that the prisms on the runway lighting are becoming damaged too quickly? Jet blast is a big issue that causes prisms to become non compliant quickly.
By adding a scratch resistant sapphire coating to the prism the life can be extended dramatically.. Normally you can only polish and re-grind a prism three times before it is unusable. The Sapphire coating can be supplied on any new ALS DTS fitting or retrofitted to any AGL brand prism It takes less than two weeks to coat the prisms.
